Why We Built Arabic Romanizer

Most Arabic transliteration tools online treat every input the same way: run every word through one fixed set of rules and hope for the best. That approach breaks down constantly, because Arabic has real spelling ambiguity — the same word can be written several accepted ways in Latin letters, and letters like ح and ه or short vowels can't always be recovered from a Latin spelling alone.

Our engine combines a curated dictionary of common words, names, and Arabizi expressions (which resolve exactly) with a phonetic engine as a fallback for everything else, including position-aware handling of vowels at the start and end of words. We test it against real, ambiguous input — not just clean textbook examples — and we're upfront in our FAQs about where the tool's phonetic fallback has real limits, rather than overselling accuracy it can't guarantee.

The site itself is organized the same way: a hub for the main conversion tool, plus focused pages for the alphabet, letter forms, pronunciation, Arabizi, and names — each with its own purpose, rather than one page trying to rank for everything.
